HR Law is a specialist employment and workplace relations law firm with offices located in Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast (Coolangatta).  The firm represents employers in all jurisdictions across Australia and offers great exposure to all types of work in this field.

The position

This is a great opportunity for someone who has post admission experience (ideally a minimum 5 years+) in employment and workplace relations law.  You will have carriage of your own files and work together with the senior leadership team practising in all employment and workplace relations law matters.

You will have the benefit of true flexibility in the position, including work from home and achievable billing expectations. 

Key responsibilities:

➤ Providing employment and workplace relations advice to employer clients (both written and verbal)
that is strategic and commercially realistic.

➤ Drafting of policies and procedures, employment contracts and other employment related
documentation. 

➤ Basic experience in negotiations such as claim settlements, mediations and enterprise agreements.

➤ Ability to conduct seminars and webinars for your personal profile building as well as firm
development. 

➤ Conducting workplace investigations on behalf of employer clients to effectively deal with employee
complaints including fraud, bullying, harassment, discrimination and/or health and safety. 

➤ Assist with the supervision of junior staff within the firm (dependent on the experience of the right
candidate).

The right person

You will have post admission experience (a minimum 5 years+ is ideal) practising in employment law.  We are willing to fit in with the right person’s needs to ensure the position is right for them and that the right person has a successful and fulfilling career with the firm.
